Mr Cox began his career working for an investment bank in Melbourne, Australia before moving into public affairs as Chief Executive (Australia) and Member of the World Council of the Paris-Based International Chamber of Commerce.
- Competition-led, Unlocking the Secrets of Writing
Notably, the 2025 John Locke Official Summer School in China will, for the first time, include content related to the mastery of the written word. Each day from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, a dedicated writing and analysis session will be held to teach students how to structure concise and compelling arguments and critically analyze economic
issues.
The course will guide students to analyze the underlying logic of competition propositions, master the keys to victory from the source of thinking, equipping students with the tools to excel by sharpening their English writing skills and sparking their creative potential, as well as enriching their academic profiles.
- Become a Life Member of the John Locke Alumni Association
The John Locke Summer School is highly selective. Historically, for every summer school place the Institute receives between 3 and 4 applications. Therefore, participants are exceptional young students from around the globe, engaging in thought-provoking discussions, lively debates, and in-depth case studies—all conducted entirely in English. They will enjoy an intellectually immersive experience among an exceptional peer group, refining their critical thinking and independent reasoning skills.
All summer school graduates automatically become lifetime members of the John Locke Alumni Association. This entitles them to participate in year-round events organised by the Institute and provides access to a global network of high-achieving peers, mentors, and advisors in academic and professional life.
