Cambridge and Pearson examination groups have recently released the results of their IGCSE examinations for the summer of 2024, in which WASHZ Grade 10 pupils have once again achieved remarkably.<\/p>\n

Faced with their first significant examination upon entering Grade 10, the candidates demonstrated extraordinary commitment and effort. Their relentless pursuit of academic excellence culminated in outstanding results, a testament to their dedication and the efficacy of their studies.<\/section>\n

42% of the exam entries achieved high grades of A*-A, with 21.4% receiving the top grade of A*. In terms of individual subjects, 100% of the exam entries achieved A* in Chinese (as a second language), Spanish, and Music. Additionally, excellent performances were noted in subjects such as Chinese (as a first language), English (as a first language), and Additional Mathematics.<\/section>\n

Our proportion of high-scoring A*-A grades is approximately twice that of the UK average.<\/section>\n
Furthermore, WASHZ has launched fast-track IGCSE courses to cater to different pupil needs. Candidates have achieved impressive results, with 81% of the fast-track mathematics exam entries achieving A*-A.<\/section>\n

The IGCSE serves as a pivotal bridging course before the A-Level curriculum, adeptly equipping pupils with a robust knowledge framework and preparing\u00a0them for the advanced studies that lie ahead.The WASHZ Upper School offers over 20 IGCSE courses, including the compulsory subjects of English, Chinese, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. In addition to these core subjects, the curriculum is enriched with a variety of elective courses that span the arts, humanities, social sciences, foreign languages, and physical education. This diverse course system provides pupils with ample opportunities to explore a broad range of interests and discover their potential.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
WASHZ A-Level candidates have achieved remarkable success, mainly due to the solid academic foundation established in their prior IGCSE studies.<\/section>\n
